The Family Preservation program is a concentrated and time limited in home support service created to stabilize and strengthen the family unit and to keep families and children together, avoiding out of home placement if possible.
The Family Preservation workers meet and work with all family members to achieve the goals set out by the families and Child Protection Services.
All referrals must come from the Yorkton Ministry of Social Services office.
We believe in the integrity of the family; that children have the right to a safe and nurturing home, and that families are our partners and active in the service they receive.
The Intensive Integrated Respite Child Care Program is coordinated through the Family Preservation Program. This program holds two licensed daycare spots in Kamsack and two daycare spots in Yorkton.
To be eligible for this program, families must have children between 18 months and 6 years of age and must have an open protection file with the Ministry of Social Services.
