Vocational Employment

The Vocational Employment Program provides on-site training and supervision to individuals with persistent mental illnesses.

The program is designed to prepare and assist individuals who have difficulty obtaining and/or maintaining employment.

The goal is to increase employability and self-sufficiency of individuals by providing supportive job skills and a job coach to monitor participants during work placements.

The Vocational Employment Program can be hired for services such as house cleaning, janitorial work, lawn care, snow removal, seasonal yard cleaning, home checks, etc.

Referrals to the program are only made by Mental Health Services.

SIGN provides services to those who live on Treaty 4 territory, the ancestral lands of the Cree, Saulteaux, Dakota, Lakota, Nakota and the Métis Nation. We affirm our relationship to the treaties that are integral to the foundation of Canada and commit to honouring their spirit and intent. We respect the diverse histories, languages, and cultures of the many people who have lived on this land, and we commit to moving forward in partnership with Indigenous peoples and nations in a spirit of respect, reconciliation and collaboration.
