Let's recognize random acts of kindness

SIGN feels it is important to highlight the many people who have been good neighbours, and the things they have done for others, however big or small.

In an ever-changing and fast-paced world, we believe it’s important to recognize and thank those in our communities who are providing random acts of kindness.

To nominate a Good Neighbour, fill in the form below. With the consent of all involved, we will publish the names and good deeds on our website and social media.

Let’s celebrate all the Good Neighbours and the good things happening in our communities!

SIGN knows the importance of good neighbours -- people helping people is the foundation on which it was founded more than half a century ago. When we need an extra hand, assistance or support, a good neighbour can make a huge difference.

We respect privacy

Although we want to give credit where credit is due, we are committed to respecting the privacy of individuals and groups.

Before publicly recognizing anyone for their kindness, we will ask for the permission of all parties involved to publish their names and details about the act of kindness.

If permission is not granted, information about the neighbourly act may be published in general terms in a manner that does not reveal any personal information.

Nominate a Good Neighbour

Please use the form below, and provide all requested information to nominate a Good Neighbour for an act of kindness. If consent is provided by you, and by the person(s) you have nominated, the information may be published on this website, on social media, and in our monthly newsletter.

We will contact the person(s) nominated to obtain their consent to publish their name and the information you provide. We may also contact you if we have any questions.

We ask that you limit your description of the good deed to approximately 100 words. You may also attach a relevant photo if available.

Please note: we reserve the right to edit for length, spelling and grammar.

SIGN provides services to those who live on Treaty 4 territory, the ancestral lands of the Cree, Saulteaux, Dakota, Lakota, Nakota and the Métis Nation. We affirm our relationship to the treaties that are integral to the foundation of Canada and commit to honouring their spirit and intent. We respect the diverse histories, languages, and cultures of the many people who have lived on this land, and we commit to moving forward in partnership with Indigenous peoples and nations in a spirit of respect, reconciliation and collaboration.
